Meat Food Packers / Labourers

Job Summary

We are looking for food packers to work on our production line. This includes inspecting, cutting, boning, grinding, and packaging the meat, as well as preparing it for distribution. Meat packers must also ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed during the process.

In this role you will be responsible to place products in packaging machines, label products, weigh and/or count products, examine and inspect products to ensure that packing specifications and food safety standards are met.

You will also be responsible to assemble, disassemble and clean machinery after production.

Duties:

• Inspect meat for quality and grade
• Cut and trim meat to customer specifications
• Weigh and wrap packaged meat
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Operate machinery and equipment
• Maintain safety standards

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry heavy crates
• Ability to follow safety protocols
